ASA - Disable automatic failover

Hey,

I want to use two ASA's as an active/standy cluster in two datacenters. To avoid split-brains I want failover/replication but only switch to the standby unit by hand. My first thought was to disable monitoring on all IF's. Would this be enough?

Thanks

Michael

I think this should work(dont know why you want to do this though), Failover will still happen if the Active unit fails (power, crash, reload or hardware).

Regards,

Felipe.

Felipe,

Thanks for answer. The reason is thant the units are in separate datacenters and I don't want a split-brain when the line between is down. It's ok for me to failover by hand and not automatic.

Michael
