ASA firewall inside access.

I have an ASA5505 (8.2).  I added a new device to my network that required static nat entry.  When i put this entry in, this device can't communicate with my mail server (also has a static nat entry), no ping, smtp, nothing.  I don't have this issue with my other devices (with NAT) just this new one and the mail server.  I am lost.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Where is this new device located, on the inside? Where is the mail server? Can you collect some logs and maybe attach the confguration?
