Does Cisco provide the revision history/bugfixes/new features of each ASA IOS release?
For example, on the ASA 5505 platform, 8.4(1) just came out but I don't know where to find the above information or if it is even availabe.

Yes, each major and minor release comes with release notes and it includes system requirement, bug fixes and new features.
Here is the release notes for version 8.4.1 for your reference:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa84/release/notes/asarn84.html
Hope that helps.
