Dear Support,
I have a problem in a license of ASA/IPS
I tried to get the license from cisco site and I entered the PAK of ASA5512-IPS-SSP and serial number of the ASA, but I got this error
"Not allowed downgrade/update Sku(s) 'ASA5512-IPS-SSP' for 'ASA5512-MB' : Device contains following licenses 'ASA5512-IPS-SSP,ASA5500-ENCR-K9'
Serial Number =
We're sorry, but we cannot process your request."
So I figured out that the license is already installed on the IPS, but once I login to the IPS using “session IPS” command from ASA, I get this notification about the license "There is no license key installed on this IPS platform", Also from IPS GUI, I get license error message.
So I don't know what is the problem exactly and how to download the license from cisco site.

I would suggest you to open a case with TAC team. As there may be a problem with hardware.

I have faced the same issues. I was opened a TAC support and resolved the problem.
go to Cisco.com/go/license for TAC support.
