ASA OS Upgrade

Good day all,

 

I am trying to update our ASA 5525-X Firewall firmware from version 8.6 to the latest, I would like to know what to prepare for and what my current licenses allow me to do. This is the result of my show inventory below

 

Licensed features for this platform:

Shared License : Disabled perpetual
AnyConnect for Mobile : Disabled perpetual
AnyConnect for Cisco VPN Phone : Disabled perpetual
Advanced Endpoint Assessment : Disabled perpetual
UC Phone Proxy Sessions : 2 perpetual
Total UC Proxy Sessions : 2 perpetual

This platform has an ASA5525 VPN Premium license.

Like @#Mat said - check the upgrade guide. In your case you need to upgrade to 9.0(2) first. Then to the newer release. I would not recommend 9.10(1) just yet - stick with the latest "Gold Star" release - currently ASA 9.9(3)16.

Also be sure the upgrade your ASDM. In that case the latest is fine - 7.10(1):
