ASA Password policy IOS running 8.2

Hello Guys,

Is there any way to check what type of password in the ASA is configured whether its is type 5 or type 7, also do we have a option for to configure type 8 or type 9.

The ASA doesn't run IOS and has different functionality, also in regards to passwords.

Older releases only use a simple MD5-mechanism which is shown with the "encrypted" keyword. That is slightly comparable (but simpler) with type 5 in IOS. Newer ASA software versions use pbkdf2 which is shown with the "pbkdf2"keyword in the config.
