ASA Powers its self off after reload command

We were upgrading our ASA from  asa917-16-smp-k8.bin  to asa9-12-2-9-smp-k8.bin.

After changing the boot command and hitting reload command,  the FW just shut itself down

We had to physically pull the power cable out and plug it in back again 

Any ideas what may be causing this issue?

( ASA5515, 8192 MB RAM, CPU Clarkdale 3058 MHz, 1 CPU (4 cores))

Once power down and bring back is this working ? or not working

I have just read the Release notes, I cant see anything regards to the power issue
