Hi
I'm thinking of purchasing a ASA 5520. The spec says it supports 25 vlans. Now I'm not sure what this means. I currently use 21 vlans across the network for various purposes some. Five of these are used for DMZ areas, which I have created using teh pix 515e firewall. If I want to trunk through all these vlans through the ASA would it mean I can only add another four more vlans before the pix reaches its limit?
If I haven't made myself clear please let me know, and I'll answer the question.
Thanks
Dan

Hi,
You've got the old spec - the 5520's now support 100 Vlans. (A 5510 + security plus license now has 25)
Also, you'd only need a vlan for each of your dmz's, not for every vlan in your network unless you wanted to create a separate dmz for every vlan which I'd guess is unlikely.

When I look at the datasheet, the ASA 5520 seems to support 100 VLANs.
