What are the differences, and why choose one over the other for a new deployment? Model in question is 5545-X in Active/Standby.

Hi,

I would recommend going for the ASA 9.2 and above if possible as that would be the future releases for this hardware.

ASA 9.1 is specifically for the ASA 5500 Series as they cannot be upgraded past this code.

Also , check the release notes for more information:-

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/asa91/release/notes/asarn91.html

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/asa92/release/notes/asarn92.html

Thanks and Regards,
