Hello,
I have never configured a Firewall but I have a brand new ASA5505 on my hands I also have 800 series router with 3 VLANS configured. In each port will be Access Points for the 3 networks. Is the ASA5505 with base license configurable in any way? I don't require inter-vlan routing (it is only for internet use)
Thanks

Hello,
The ASA5505 with based license has 3 interfaces(Vlans), the 3rd one is restricted but if you dont need inter Vlan routing that will be fine.
Basically the 3rd interface can send traffic to either Vlan1 or Vlan2, if you configure Vlan2 for the external (Internet) link, then you only need to send traffic to this Vlan.

Felipe.

Hi,
With base license, you can configure only 3 Vlans, two internal and one external or two external and once internal.
