I have a standalone ASA5508-X running the latest ASA & ASDM code - ASA 9.16(4)76, ASDM 7.22(1). I've reimaged the SFR module with the latest 7.0.6-236 image (with the plan to patch this to 7.0.6.3-50). There is no configuration on the SFR other than an IPv4 address (I've tried static and DHCP to see if that makes a difference). When I launch ASDM, it starts to load, but then hangs at 52% with the message 'Downloading FirePOWER packages'.
I've reimaged the SFR a couple of times, but the behaviour is always the same. If I shut the SFR down from the ASA CLI, then ASDM loads OK.

I've tried a couple of different machines. I've cleared the Java cache, I've updated Java and get the same behavior.

If a copy the ".asdm" directory in the usersprofile from the machine asdm is running to the the one who doesn't ASDM starts 100%.
But then comes a courios error message: "ASDM was unable to loa the Fireall configuration...", but in the background the syslog messages are running...
It does not matter if I am using ASDM openjava 7.201 or 7.221 or Oraclejava...
