Greeting

I have asa5520 version 7.2(4). it physically connected to cat6500.

The interface both inside and outside drip packets, but the cat6500's related interface do not drop packets.

the interface in asa5520:

# sh int GigabitEthernet 0/1.10

Interface GigabitEthernet0/1.10 "inside", is up, line protocol is up

MAC address 1200.0178.0312, MTU 1500

IP address 10.10.10.1, subnet mask 255.255.255.0

Traffic Statistics for "inside":

1562620134 packets input, 2182712583398 bytes

843191958 packets output, 36467109917 bytes

25687 packets dropped

the box connected to cat6500 is linked by cooper. If I change it to fibre, will it approval?

does it mean the box is not capible for the traffic?

Any comments will be appreciated

Thanks in advance

Check speed/duplex settings on both devices, check input/output errors, CRC's

If the above are all 0 - then you could have a cable issue, try changing cables.
