ASA5585-SSP-10 Upgrade

Hi,

 

I need to upgrade ASA5585-SSP-10 to new version, please let me know what is memory requirement for upgrading from 8.2 to 9.9 version.

 

Below are detail of device

 

Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 8.2(4)

 

Hardware:   ASA5585-SSP-10, 4096 MB RAM, CPU Xeon 5500 series 2000 MHz, 1 CPUs, 4 cores

   

Internal ATA Compact Flash, 2048MB

The ASA 5585 SSP 10 comes with a default of 6GB memory per slot.

It only shows you 4GB memory here because the 8.2 version can only use 4GB. The memory requirements for all versions after 8.3 are the same and are documented here:

You should be able to upgrade to 9.9 from 8.2 without a memory upgrade required, but please understand the changes and the upgrade path before proceeding with this upgrade as this is a big change:
