ASAv941 on ESXi: OVF XML parsing for device configuration - Fail

After installation of ASAv941 on ESXi 6.5, the virtual FW appliance keeps on rebooting.

The output shows the following error:

Error: Platform type has not been configured.

ERROR: OVF environment unavailable. Error: 2.

OVF XML parsing for device configuration -  Fail … cannot read OVF, rebooting.

Check the hardware configuration of this VM and make sure there is a CD Rom drive assigned to this VM. Verify that CDROM drive is enabled t connect after VM power is on.

I also tried to run ASAv941 on ESXi 5.5 and 6; with those versions, I am even not able to deploy OVF template:

Line 264: Unsupported element 'Property'.

I would appreciate, if someone could please advise me on conceivable reasons and solutions to this boot issue.

Is there a reason why you are using the older ASAv 9.4(1) vs a more current release? You may be hitting some bugs on this very old version of ASAv.

Also please confirm that your keyboard locale is set to United States English prior to deploying. That is a prerequisite. 

I am running ASAv 9.8(2) on ESXi 6.0 Update 3 without any problem.
