Hi Folks

i m unable to load asdm lancher  from the asa.i receive the below errors:

ur asa image has a version numbere 8.2 which is not supported by asdm 6.1

Not sure about java tuning.

But to my knowledge, ASA 8.2 is supported on ASDM 6.2 not 6.1.

Did you try ASDM 6.2?

Hi Ibrahim,

if you get the errormessage " asa image has a version number 8.2 which is not supported by asdm 6.1" you can believe it.

Upgrade your asdm and everything works fine. the asdm 6.1 cannot interpret some of the configs of ASA version 8.2 so you must upgrade the asdm.

Every asdm version has a documented minimum and maxim ASA version, which is supported. Go to the asdm release note for details.

Java tuning will not change anything about it, it's a question of which ASA commands can be interpreted by the asdm..
