ASDM Upgrades - do they have to be incremental

In some cisco documentation for ASDM upgrades it states that minor upgrades should be incremental. That is 1 minor version at a time.  This is for the asdm software not the asa ios. Id just like to know if this is definately required when performing the upgrades from the cli. So from 7.1 to 7.5 do u have to do 4 upgrades? Just wondering if this is just old documentation as its not mention in the newer docs. Newer docs just talk about the underlying ios version and the compatible asdm version.

Below is the old doc that talks about incremental upgrade.

In practice, there is no need to do incremental updates for the ASDM. In fact, I've never seen this advice before. Just load the newest ASDM that supports your ASA version and you should be fine.

thanks Karsten. I also ended up seeing a cisco guide which showed a screen shot where they were upgrading from 7.1 straight to 7.4.
