I see that it's possible to automate updates of the ASA 5510 and AIP SSM via FTP to my own server. Is it possible to automate the downloads directly from Cisco.com?
Thanks!
Jeremy

Jeremy, the answer to your question is that is correct, as far as Cisco products are concerned. So I wrote a PERL app that does exactly this, and I published an article on it in June 2007's issue of Sys Admin magazine. Here is the article online: http://www.samag.com/documents/s=10128/sam0706a/0706a.htm
And it is also on my website, with a tar of the scripts at:

Good luck.

So - there is no way to do the updates automatically without purchasing the CiscoWorks VPN/Security Management Solution (VMS)?
Thanks, Dharmesh, for your assistance!
