I am a novice when it comes to PIX. We rarley touch the configs.
I need alittle clarification on backing up and restoring a config via tftp or hyperterminal.
I have a PIX 506e running 6.3
I am going to be adding an ISA server behind it, and configure a DMZ between the two. So I need to change the Internal IP of the PIX.
I want to create a backup of the config so incase I need to revert back to the original set up incase things dont work out.
to back up to a TFTP server is it
write net "tftp ip"
or
config net
commands?
what command is needed to restore the config via tftp?
Or is it easier to copy the config with hyperterminal. copy the text form and paste to the PIX?
How do I overwrite the running config if I paste, becasue it merges the two?
