Hi all,
What is the minimum bandwidth required for a single vpn tunnel.
Is there anyway to monitor vpn traffic and know the stats for eg total bytes/protocols etc.

hi
i dont c much of b/w issue in creating a vpn tunnel between ur locations but do revert back in which b/w capacity you are goin to have this vpn tunnel created.
Also revert what kinda vpn tunnel you meant in your post or what kinda vpn tunnel you are trying to create ? is it gonna be simple GRE tunnel or IPSEC tunnel ?
each of them have their own overheads and when you compare the security level then its ipsec which is best and has enough encryption strength attached to it.
and again for monitoring the tunnel traffic would suggest to use some mrtg tools to find out the total bytes being passed out thru that particular interface.
if you want them on protocol basis then u need to enable NBAR on port basis on ur tunnel or in your physical interface and you can import those details to your NMS .
hope this helps..

We are going to have as many as two tunnels between one location (DMZ & Internal).Total three locations.
The tunnels will be ipsec.
We have 2800 Router.

hi venkat
do revert back whts the current bandwidth you have between the locations ?
You have got 3 remote and a central site rite and you are gonna have 2 Tunnels betweens from each remote site to the central site.
This creates total 6 tunnels getting terminated on the 2800.i think it can handle this much tunnels but do revert how much b/w u have currently in place in ur central location.
