BBSM switch compatability

Hi everyone

I am doing some research on Broadband Sevice Manager.

Does BBSM support HP 5300 switches with VLAN's per port "protected port"?

If a user has 'always dial my default connection' set, can they get internet access through BBSM without changing their settings?

Don't know about other switch, have used only Cisco Switches so far, you may need to add using SDK.

Setting browser to 'always dial my default connection' will cause dialer to try and dial (same as if you where plugged into LAN at same time I expect). Once the user clicks exit on dialer the BBSM will work as planned.

Hope that helps. You may be better off with 'dial whenever...'
