Hotspot sield should be using https connections, so no way to look into the packets.
What you can do is to either block IP addresses range(s?) belonging to hotspot shield or if they use custom port(s?) block the ports.
I was not able to find a list of ports or IP addresses, I guess it would be quite easy to capture them ;-)
