Can I mix transparent and routed firewall contexts and shared the same interface through 801.1q?

Hello,

I have an ASA5520, Can I configure transparent and routed firewall contexts (it has multi context license) and shared the same physical interface through 801.1q trunk? I know that FWSM support mix of transparent and routed firewall contexts. But I am not sure on ASA55x0 appliance.

Hi Sean,

The FWSM does indeed support a mix of routed and transparent contexts, however the ASA only supports all contexts transparent or all contexts routed (no mix).
