Hello,

 I was wondering what the IOS inspect statement does. Does it search for viruses or other intrusions

in packets then drop them, or is just for filtering for statefull data?

hi,

CBAC does stateful packet inspection.

meaning, traffic is allowed to return back when it's initiated from inside hosts.
