Cisco 2130 FPR Upgrade

Appreciate it if anyone can share a suggestion on this to perform a smooth upgrade..

Task: ASA  Upgrade
Hardware: Cisco FPR 2130
Current OS: ASA OS 9.12(2)
Future OS: ASA OS .9.20.3.7

Context Mode : Single

Failover - Primary/Secondary  in Active/Standby

Would I need to upgrade to a previous version to step in the 9.20.3 FXOS?  Any support would help as we have ASDM and Chassis Manager to manage the device.

Using https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/asa/upgrade/asa-upgrade/asa-appliance-asav.html#id_58353  for reference but the charts are difficult to understand as we are jumping several versions of FXOS to meet guidelines.

Thanks

Due to the node running 9.12 we are supporting Platform mode.

I would highly recommend migrating to appliance mode instead. It removed all of the complexities and limitations of platform mode.

Thank you! I will step up to ver 2.18 then ver 2.20  and try appliance mode. Will my configuration on the Firewall have to change going from platform to appliance mode?  Any tips or things to lookout for prior to updating?
