Is the Cisco 4221 typically used as a DMZ router?

Hi @E Sung

It will depend if the 4221 router can handle the traffic and routing table you have on the DMZ network. Other than that, any device can be a DMZ device, there is no difference from no-DMZ device.

I need to download the image for CISCO 4221

@fullfill28 it requires a support contract associated with your cisco.com ID to have entitlement to download the image.

If you are thinking of segmenting / firewalling the DMZ with a Cisco 4221 router then you would need a security license and implement ZBFW.  But yes, it can be used as a DMZ router.
