Dear Team,
Have a query regarding Cisco ASA 5505 firewall. As per the EOL announcements by Cisco, they have announced EOL for ASA 5510, 5520, 5540 and 5580 firewalls. However, there is no information about ASA 5505. Does it mean Cisco continues to ensure ASA 5505 for small business and branch offices? When was ASA 5505 released in the market? Your replies will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,
Last thing I have heard from Cisco is that the ASA5505 is kept in market because of its popularity. There was no information then if there is going to be a replacement model for ASA5505 in the new ASA5500-X Series. So far I have not heard anything.
So I would assume that its going to stay supported for several years still.
It seems they have discontinued the separate module for the ASA5505 though
The following document seems to suggest that the ASA5505 was released in 2006
