Cisco ASA 5516 K8 (DES) to K9 (DES/AES) Conversion

Hello Team,

We Recently purchased Cisco ASA 5516 fpwr Bundle.(ASA5516-FPWR-K8).

3DES/AES is disabled by default.

i took the License Cisco asa 3DES/AES License from cisco website by providing Product Serial Number .

But Not able to activate key.

Does i require  any additional LIcence.This box is Brand New.Cisco ASA Control License is not installed.

Does 3des/aes License Require protection License??

3des license belongs to ASA while control license belongs to firepower. Once you  activate the 3des/aes license you got on ASA, the ASA will become k9.

Can you please share what error message you get while activating the same?
