Salam Aleykum.
We have flash memory issue in ASA 5525-X.
it works from time to time , it has unstable hardware.
During working with flash (for example: write, delete, copy, etc.), we face the following error in Cisco ASA CLI.
%Error opening disk0:/.private/startup-config (Read-only file system)
Error executing command
[FAILED]
fsck and formatting the flash did not help.
We cannot even find the flash memory itself in ASA equipment itself. )
in next-generation firewalls cisco calls it - as internal usb or internal flash memory.
In an old firewalls it was easy to replace flash :) . Why cisco did such thing in next-generation firewalls?!
Waiting your advice, and help.
Thanks in advance.

What command did you use to try to format the flash?

format flash: or erase flash:

Yikes! So you have tried both :( Sounds like you need to open a case with Cisco TAC. Please let us know of the outcome!

I have no permission to Cisco TAC.
But I will try Cisco Partner Help.
I will inform you InwaALLAH.
Can I use external Usb as system flash?
