Hello Team,

We are planning to implement Cisco ASA 5585 SSP-60 firewall in Active/Standby cluster ,  we have two device  of Cisco ASA 5585-X SSP-60 and we have one 8 port 10 Gig module and one 4 port 10 Gig module.

Can we use Primary with 8 port module and Secondary with 4 port module ?

regards

Raj

No, Both units must be exactly the same setup.  So if you are using a 10Gig module in the primary, you need to have a 10Gig module in the secondary.  Both ASAs must also be SSP-60

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

I am using 10Gig modules on both firewalls however we have two 10 Gig modules, one module is 4x10 Gig and other is 8x10 Gig modules.

I wanted to use one 8 x10 Gig module on primary and 4x10 Gig module on Secondary or vice versa.

Will ASA cluster support like this scenario?

regards

Raj

The ASAs need to be identical.  So if you have 8x10Gig module in one ASA you need the same type of module in the second ASA.
