We have a 1Gbps dedicated fiber link for failover. The 1 second timer seems a bit long by today's standards. Does anyone have a suggested polltime? We can go as low as 200 msec but I feel as if there may be ramifications in do that. The holdtimer can also be set that low. Any
suggestions or real world numbers people use?
Thanks

I currently use 300ms for the unit failover poll and 900ms for the hold time. This gives us a 1 second failover with a maximum of 1 packet dropped (usually no dropped packets).
