Cisco ASA 5585-x upgrade to firepower?

We currently have a pair of 5585x ASAs with the ASA5585-SSP-IPS10 blade that will be end of life sometime in early 2018. Given that our peak concurrent connections exceeds the 500,000 limit mentioned in an earlier post, would it be more cost effective to scrap the 5585x in lieu of the 4100 series or is there a larger firepower blade available?

You can purchase and install the -20, 40 and 60 FirePOWER blades but cost-wise you'd be much better served by the newer and better price-performance of the 4100 series.

You need to analyze your functional requirements though because to get the FirePOWER services you'd need to run the FTD image. There's not yet feature parity even with the just-released 6.1 code.
