Hi ,

I'm trying to connect a cisco asa 9.8 version in GNS3 to a router and the ASA doesn't reply to the arp requests by the router which is directly connected to it. Any help?

I can see the arp reply for the failover link but not for the directly connected routers

Are you sure the subnet is correct in both asa and router.

Hi Yeah the subnet is same on both the router and ASA

I can see that dropped blocks in arp are increasing is there any way to find out the reason, I did packet capture on arp entries with ethernet type set to arp but i don't see any dropped packets i can only see that router is sending an arp request but ASA doesn't respond back.

I face same issue before, I think it is bug so try the workaround I use
solution is config static route in router using ASA interface not using egress interface
