Cisco firepower 4115 interface optical level check

Nikhil5

Hi Team,

I am looking for the Cisco documentation for a command to check interface optical statistics but I do not see any such documents.

Basically, we have deployed Cisco Firepower 4115. It's 2 ports, 1/2 and 1/3 (10G optical) connected to remote end device and it's been noticed, remote end is receiving very low light. (-40dbm).

I would like to check what optical power levels on the Firepower ports. Can someone help me with this?

Thanks balaji, but I don't think this provide optical statistics.

I am expecting details as per attached snap. It's taken from the Cisco switch. Not sure if the FTD provides such details.

Personally i do not believe you get that information (until some one say differently, that output from switches) - not FTD appliance, FTD appliance used Fibre interconnect moddules.

FXOS doesn't have full support for Digital Optical monitoring (DOM). The output @balaji.bandi shared is all you can get.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/firepower-4100-series/215551-firepower-extensible-operating-system-f.html#anc34

I confirmed it on one of my Firepower 9300 chassis as well.

Understood, Thank You !!!

Hi @Marvin Rhoads

Going back a few years here, but with FPR3110 and FTD 7.3 these commands do not work. Do you know the commands for this platform? I wonder if DOM is now supported?

I don't believe it's supported still. The closest info I could find was as shown below (from a 3110 running 7.4.2):

3110-fw-1#
3110-fw-1# scope fabric-interconnect
3110-fw-1 /fabric-interconnect # scope card 1
3110-fw-1 /fabric-interconnect/card # show port
