Cisco Firepower Licensing

Hopefully someone can help me. What is the licensing procedure that I have to follow to get my Firepower Management center up and working? We purchased the Cisco FireSIGHT Management center, (VMware) for two devices. I have the PAK, have received the .lic file that is associated with the MAC address I have supplied. I cannot copy and paste the .lic file into the add feature license field. Do I apply this license somewhere else? I have found no documentation that tells me what to do with this .lic file

What version are you running?

As of version 6.0, Cisco no longer requires application of a FirePOWER Management Center license.

They've not done a good job (in my opinion) of communicating the implications of this, so your confusion is quite understandable.
