Hi Experts,
I have been going through Cisco.com and Google searches but cannot seem to find any answers to this so hoping I can get the answer/link I here.
Basically, the questions are as follows:-
A. Does ASA-SM support clustering and if so how many blades does it support?
B. If it does support clustering, does it support inter chassis and/or interchassis? I am aware the FWSM supports max 4 blade intra chassis.
C. Finally, in a VSS scenario where the same two switches sit in one domain (VSS1) and the other two same switches sit in another domain (VSS2) and the two VSS switches communicate over HSRP, would clustering provide an ACTIVE blade ASA-SM in VSS1 and ACTIVE blade in VSS2?
Many thanks in advance and look forward from find out the answer!

Hi Mohammed,
From the research I did found we will only be able to cluster within a single chassis or VSS. So, you can only do inter-chassis clustering with VSS.

Hi Luis,
Thanks for the reply.
I think my question B was mis-typed. What I meant was, does it support intra and/or inter-chassis. However, I think you have answered my question anyhow.
So to confirm, the ASA-SM does NOT support inter-chassis clustering of 3 or more blades between dis-seperate switches/VSS?
Thanks.
