Cisco FPR 1010 change from FTD to FMC

I have 2 new FPR-1010

According to the documentation, on the first boot, I should get a EULA prompt and then a "Manage the device locally? (yes/no) [yes]: no"

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/firepower/quick_start/fp1010/firepower-1010-gsg/ftd-fmc.html#task_imq_yw3_b3b

On both units, I do not get any kind of startup wizard.

After first time initialization, I only get the "firepower" prompt (which I then logged in using the default)

I want to manage these 2 units using my FMC

How do I do this ?

Thanks,

Steve

You can manually add the networking and management settings. Just use 'configure network' and assign IP address and other networking setings:

> configure network
  dns Configure DNS servers
  hostname Set the hostname
  http-proxy Configure HTTP Proxy settings
  http-proxy-disable Disable HTTP Proxy settings
  ipv4 Configure IPv4 networking
  ipv6 Configure IPv6 networking
management-interface Change to Management Port Configuration Mode
management-port Change TCP port for management
static-routes Change to Static Route Configuration Mode

Once you do this, do 'configure manager add <FMC-ip> <key>' to change from locally managed to FMC managed.

my options at the prompt are : acknowledge, backup, clear, ... set, exit, end  etc

no configure option

Found the solution

At the command prompt, enter : connect tfd

This puts you in the right CLI

Then the setup continues per the instructions
