My question. If I access Ciscoworks - Campus manager - Topology Services - Network Views - Layer 2 View....I get a list of all of the switches on the LAN. Under 'Device Name' I get a list of all the IP addresses of the switches....except for one switch which gives its Hostname. What is it that is causing this switch to act differently from the other switches? Can you please tell me how I can get the other switches to do the same? I have compared the Config of this switch with other switches but I cannot see any differences. Is there a way of linking the Hostname with the IP Address so that all the entries in Topology Service under Device name lists the Hostname of the switch?
