Configure Pix 515 for Bloomberg Applications

Hello All,

I have a problem with Configuration of Pix 515 (3 interfaces). I have Bloomberg router on the DMZ network. It worked fine, until I tried to filter from inside network. I've read Bloomberg manual. They recommend opening 2 ranges of ports:

tcp 8194-8294

udp 48129-48137

I created 2 entries in access-list:

access-list inside permit tcp 198.22.90.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.11.0 255.255.255.0 range 8194 8294

access-list inside permit udp 198.22.90.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.11.0 255.255.255.0 range 48129 48137

It didn't work. It works fine with

Access-list inside permit imp any any

I understand some ports needs to be open.

Can you help me?

Hello bekerman

I have seen in some of the forums that you need to open the following :

TCP/UDP - 8194-8294

TCP - 1025 - 6000

UDP :- 48129-48192

Try opening these and see if you are able to work.. otherwise, put a sniffer on your PC and see which ports they are trying to access..
