Not sure we have understood this, Generally SNMP polled by NMS Server not FMC ?
Can you elaborate the question more to understand and suggest correctly ?

You can setup SNMP traps or informs on FMC to send out traps/informs if an alarm occurs. On Cisco switches you can setup how long the inform can last. So, my question is - can you setup inform's duration in FMC?

SNMP and SNMP Traps 2 different items of the configuration.
SNMP traps are generate based on the condition. - the Information send to remote based on the setup. the information can not hold locally.
Cisco switches you can setup how long the inform can last
what switches you mentioned here IOS XE ? this is depends on the buffer you have on the switch (if i understand correctly your statement ?) or provide some example.
