Configuring ASA 5545 w/ FirePower Services

I am new to FirePower, and trying to work through configuring it on ASA. I know that FirePower does not pass traffic through the backplane, and requires you to use the Management Port. All of the examples I've seen in documentation online involve running the Mgmt Port to a switch, and then the switch to an inside interface. 

Is it possible to just run directly to the inside interface from the Mgmt Port, or will FirePower not work this way?

Well if you cable it in directly it would work but then you wouldn't be able to connect any other networks to that Inside interface.
