wow-  unrelated to my question but I thought this was intresting.   after I posted here,  about 1 minute later I did another google search and my post asking this question was returned as a result...  does cisco push updates notifications to google?  that was quick!

found the answer too:

copy /pcap capture:    will do it.

Here is the command for your reference:

Typically you would copy it to your host so the PCAP capture can be viewed using wireshark/ethereal.
