Hello,

Please someone help me.

After copying running config file by tftp from Cisco PIX 6.3 to ASA 5510 (9.1), i checked on ASA , int gi 0/0 and 0/1 still do not show 'up' even though i do this command, int gi 0/0 and 0/1, no shutdown. Please see below.

sh interfaces

interface GigabitEthernet0/0"outside", is down, line protocol is down

IP address 192.168.253.122, subnet mask 255.255.255.252

interface GigabitEthernet0/1"inside", is down, line protocol is down

IP address 202.x.x.193, subnet mask 255.255.255.240

how can i implement to get interfaces status "up" ?

Thanks.

Hi,

Is anything connected to these interfaces ?

If yes try to reload the box ?

What is the color status of the interface ports ?

Please share the show version of the ASA 5510.

Regards,

Aditya

Hello Adiya,

This is the version of ASA 5510.
ASA# sh ver

Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 9.1(5)
Device Manager Version 7.1(5)100

I tried to connected ASA interface gi 0/1 to pc and then also int gi 0/2 to pc . I did not notice the color status.

I just noticed int gi 0/1 is up before. I plan to connect with pc to  int gi 0/2 then i type no shudown to int gi 0/2 . After i test int gi 0/2 is not needed to open  then i type int gi 0/2, shutdown at the same time int gi 0/1 and 0/2 are down status shown. int 0/1 is not coming up even though i type to int 0/1, no shutdown

Thanks.
