Hi All,
The below interface on the PIX 535 is having a lot of CRC and input errors. what can be the reason ? and how to solve it? let me know if any further information is required.
Interface Ethernet1 "3PGW", is up, line protocol is up
Hardware is i82559, BW 100 Mbps
Full-Duplex(Full-duplex), 100 Mbps(100 Mbps)
Description: TO 3PGW LB
MAC address 000e.0cbc.c9fc, MTU 1500
IP address 10.160.83.1, subnet mask 255.255.255.224
12300356 packets input, 15840991269 bytes, 0 no buffer
Received 144 broadcasts, 8321 runts, 0 giants
55666 input errors, 28495 CRC, 27171 frame, 0 overrun, 28495 ignored, 0

Check duplex mismatch, physical connections need to be consistant, if 100 full duplex in the firewall the other end needs to be the same, check cabling as well if duplex is not the issue.
you may want to also clear the counters after you correct physical.

Problem might be related with the BW value

it's not speed and duplex.( they are negotiated correctly as per the o/put ).
it's a bad cable on that interface.
replace it.
