CSA License Limit

We are running CSA 4.0 with 35 workstation agent licenses for our pilot. When registering a new workstation, we logged the message "License limit of 35 Workstation agents has been reached. The workstation '~' at IP address ~ failed to register as it exceeded the limit."

Is the CSA Agent installed on this workstation even though we have reached the license limit? Is it being protected?

The agent software is installed on the 36th+ workstation. When the workstation reboots, it attempts to register with the CSA MC - this is when your eval hits a snap.

If the agent was able to register, it would be able to download the policy for the particular group the agent kit was associated with.

In the case where the license is exceeded, the agent will not download nor enforce the policy until the license is increased to support this user. The workstation's CSA agent will check back in at every polling interval (10 minutes by default for default desktops).

Contact your SE so he/she can request a license greater than the 30 day, 10 server/25 desktop license if this is what you require for your evaluation.

Hope this helps,

peter
