In the CSA MC GUI, go to Maintenance - backup configuration

- Backup the CSA MC to the folder you created to backup the CSA MC

- Make sure the the following files are in that folder:

Backup.vrs

Full_backup_csamc.bak

Kleidia

Ssl-bundle.conf

Ssslca.crt

Sslca.csr

Sslca.key

Sslca.sn

Sslhost.crt

Sslhost.csr

Sslhost.key

Sysvars.cf

*.lic

- Uninstall the CSA MC first (do this by going to start - programs -

ciscoworks - uninstall ciscoworks and choosing the CSA MC only).

- Reboot

- Uninstall the Ciscoworks

- Reboot

- Delete the CSCOpx directory

- Install VMS again. This time choose the CUSTOM install and choose

a DIFFERENT drive other than the one you originally used

- Reboot

- Install the CSA MC. This will automatically be placed in the

new drive where VMS is installed. The location of the database

engine itself does not matter so you do not have to reinstall the

SQLServer. The files that are of concern are the the CSA MC

database files (*.mdf, *.ldf, *.ndf) located in CSCOpx\CSAMC\db

- Reboot

- Log into VMS and the CSA MC to make SURE that all is working correctly

- Log out of VMS and the CSA MC

- go to program files\CSCOpx\CSAMC\bin

- launch the "restore configuration" app.

- follow the on-screen pronmpts (it will ask you for the location

of the backup files you saved in the beginning of this doc)

- point to the correct directory and restore from backup

- after all is successful, reboot the machine

- log into VMS and the CSA MC to make sure your original data

is still present

- make sure the agents are polling to the CSA MC correctly
