PIX 515 PDM Problem

I'm using PDM 3.03, but this has happened on previous versions, and its time to figure out why this is happening. I'm able to modify the firewall config just fine, but monitoring is completely busted.

I keep getting "Lost connection to firewall". It never seems to connect. I tell it to reconnect, get "Please Wait", then it continues with "Lost connection to firewall".

What am I doing wrong? Is there is misconfigured config line somewhere?

Using a non-windows box might help as a work around to get rid of that error.

Thanks, I gave that a shot but it didn't work.

I think that this may interest you, unfortunately the PIX log monitoring is very poor. I use syslog service on my wintel machine and with it, I can view in real time all the logs.

the tool called Kiwi Syslog Daemon and you can find it at: http://www.kiwisyslog.com/
