Hello
1)what is the function of this module:CSC-SSM? and how it connect physicaly to network?is it on the inside or outside or DMZ?
2)if i have 2 asa for hight availability ,do i need to have 2?

The CSC can be plugged in anythere. All it needs is access to the internet. Just think of it as a PC in your network. You can connect is just like anyother pc or server in your network or completely on the outside as well.

Absolutely ! Otherwise the hardware will not match and failover will not work.
