Default admin viewer does not have access rights to ASA SSM-10

I am setting up an ASA 5520 with a ASA SSM-10 module.

I set up a user on the ASA SSM-10 with administrative privs. I then used that username and password to log into my SSM-10 from ASDM. I was able to connect with no problem. However, I am not able to change the config of the SSM-10 using ASDM. It is giving me a permissions error.

When I look at users, it appears I am logged in as "admin" with "viewer" permissions, even though I logged in with my administrator account when I first established the HTTPS connection.

Thoughts?

Hello Ken,

I hope you are doing great. I just tried to create a username really quickly on the AIP SSM-10 and try to log in with the username I created Mike (Administrator) and everything went fine, I was able to see myself Mike logged in as Administrator.

I would like to know what version you are using on the AIP and the version that you are using on the ASA (Not very relevant)

I tried this with version 7.0.1 (E3)

Thanks for the response. I was able to solve my issue by deleting all users (except for the default cisco user), then doing a password reset on the Cisco user. The next time I logged into the AIP, I was logged in as the correct user with the correct permissions.

Hello Ken,

Thanks for the heads up, I would like to try reimaging a sensor over here and try with your version but I think it would not be the same. Sad thing that I did not answer quickly enough to catch more info
