Fail to upgrade Cisco Network Sensor Patch

Hello,

I got this problem while trying to update "Cisco Network Sensor Patch".

It saying

"No valid appliances available for Cisco Network Sensor Patch 5.4.1.5-24

This update is intended for software versions greater than or equal to 5.4.1 and less than 5.4.1.5-24"

Current running package version:

- Sourcefire 3D Defense Center already updated to 5.4.1.5-33

- and SFR still running 5.4.0-764

Could you please advise?

Thanks!

You need to first manually download and install 5.4.1 onto your SFR module.

That means I need to download

Sourcefire_3D_Defense_Center_Patch-5.4.1-59.sh

under FireSIGHT and then do upgrade first?

I guess my 5555-X SFR latest version is only reach to 5.4.0.6.  Not 5.4.1.x

https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=286271174&flowid=77246&softwareid=286277393&release=6.0.0.1&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest

That's correct.

You didn't mention earlier that your sensor was the sfr module on a 5555-X.

Cisco went from 5.4.0(x) straight to 6.0.0(x) on the 5512/15/45/55/85 platforms.
