Failover Issue. After rebooting one of the ASAs, both become active and don't see each other.

I'm having problems with an ASA 5525 pair.

After configuring the failover, if I reboot one of the devices, when it comes back it won't see the other unit and both become active.

The only way to make them see eachother again is to clean the configuration and configure the failover again to let them sync up.

Any suggestion?

Hi,

- What version is running on Failover pair?

- Are you able to ping the failover IP once the both becomes active? Are failover link directly connected or through switch?

- ASAs in Single mode or multiple mode?

- As mentioned reconfiguring the configuration works; have you tried with 'no failover' and then 'failover' to see if they are able to identify each other?

- Please share the output of 'show run failover'
